I strongly believe that the position of Town Councillor is about so much more than politics. It involves integrity, a willingness to listen and a commitment to serving my community.
Having served as a public official with the Halton District School Board for twenty years, I understand the importance of navigating a large corporate body while maintaining accountability.
I have 12 years experience representing 7 school boards on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Public School Boards' Association. In that role, I served as the liason for provincial collective bargaining and annually attended days of action at Queens Park, meeting with MPPs and advocating for community needs.
Why Donna?
I have spent twenty years building skills and relationships which I will use on behalf of my constituents.
Your local Town Councillor is responsible for infrastructure, parks and recreation, economic development, budgeting and taxation and planning and development. Many of the experiences I have had and skills and relationships I have built as a trustee will transfer to the role of Town Councillor
My experience and twenty years of learning put me in a unique position to hit the ground running once elected.
